451 Short Film Trailer Fahrenheit 451
451
It has been a long time coming. In fact, a year and a half in the making. From script, to final this short film has been a labour of love. A challenge, and learning experience.
I'm happy to unveil to all fans of Ray Bradbury, a short fan film based on Fahrenheit 451.
There may be lots of exciting films at this year's San Diego Comic Con, keeping geeks salivating, but I do wonder if there's a Ray Bradbury tribute, or panel. I've been too busy with this short film to know what's going on.

HEXAGON videogame score punishing
The shape of the obstacles constantly changes, and you have to look for an opening before you get walled in.
The chiptune pulsing game is reminiscent of classic arcade gaming. Yet unlike games where the player receives power-ups, bonuses, and extra lives to add to their quest for the highest score, Hexagon is void of all those extras. It is a pretty unforgiving experience.
My first issue was handling the relatively minimal control. It seemed like this game would be best suited for a controller analog stick (or a spinner, if it were an arcade cabinet), or even mouse input where the user would have an accurate 360 rotation. The controls never seemed to be as accurate as I'd like.
The slightest contact with the barriers and you're gone. If this were a coin-op, I'd be beyond broke, with the many times I've died.
Here's my top score. I decided to quit after this because the game just got even more ridiculous.
If you're the type that likes the pain and torture of an utterly punishing experience, play Hexagon.

CREEP!!!
Okay, so CREEP is finally online, after a month of waiting to get it scored, and the audio mixed together, my latest web short, is now online for viewing on http://albertart.net/creep.htm and on my vimeo and youtube channels.
This was a quick production, shot while I was on xmas holiday in LA. It was a fun experience, and it was great working in Old Torrance, with a local cast. I brought along my Panasonic HVX200, and it performed nicely. I love this camera!
This film is meant to be amusing, to anyone who has encountered odd people.

ATTN: STEAMPUNK, EDWARDIAN, EDWARD GOREY FANS OF THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA.
My short film Lazy Susan will be getting its debut screening at the 2010 Edwardian Ball festival of music, and art on January 22-23rd at the Historic Regency Ballroom
The film, which will be playing for a crowd of neatly dressed, Turn of the Century party goers, will be screened in the historic ballroom on a 15x20 screen, in an event that is only ideal for Lazy Susan. Both dark, and inspired by the work of Edward Gorey, the Edwardian Ball and Lazy Susan are a perfect match. Much thanks to Justin Katz and the other organizers of the Edwardian Ball for slipping in my film at such short notice.
If you are attending this event, be sure to watch LAZY SUSAN! The Ball is open 8pm-2am each day. (A specific screening time for Lazy Susan is up to the programmers of the show so stay tuned to their schedule.)

The award-winning Edwardian Ball transforms the historic Regency Ballroom into a garden of delights, Friday and Saturday January 22nd and 23rd, 2010. Join a magical outdoors-indoor symphony of music, theatre, dance, art, storytelling, circus arts, fashion, technology, and, of course, the art & stories of Edward Gorey. The two-day festivities feature a dizzying assortment of artists, performers, and interactive creations where high-flying trapezes and steam-powered machines paint an elegant backdrop for costumed ballgoers reveling through the night. Here, the old world meets the world-to-be with an unforgettable tip of the top hat, cinch of the corset, and a splash of absinthe poured over a silver spoon.
