FLIGHT SHORT FILM CANON S95

NEW VIDEO

Nothing like looking out the window on a nice day, high up in the air on a flight. I took this video while flying from Toronto to Philly on my way to New York. Shot with the Canon S95 and set to some classical music.

ENJOY!

New York Subway Groove N Train Astoria

NEW YORK GROOVE

Another installment in my trip to New York City. N Train on the way to Astoria. New York has so much personality, all you have to do is take a look around.

New Yorkers will probably notice that the view shot features a train at Morgan Ave., which is actually the L Train in Williamsburg, which does not connect to the N Train.

A Night Drive - Vancouver Night Time Lapse S95

NIGHT DRIVE

A night drive, through the glowing city streets of downtown Vancouver. I filmed this yesterday, and did a quick edit job of over an hour and a half of footage. This is a follow up short film to my "A Day Drive" time lapse.

BC Place, Stanley Park, and Chinatown are a few of the areas that appear in the film.

Enjoy!

Day Drive Trans-Canada Time Lapse Panavise Canon

DRIVE

I've been watching a bunch of Japanese driving videos lately which has rekindled my love of driving while filming. Today, I took it out for a spin while running an errand. Using the time lapse setting on my Canon S95 and the Panavise mount, I was able to capture the above video.

Added some music and a little post, and it turned out nicely.

Scenes from SXSW 2011 Time Lapse

SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST 2011

And so the SXSW festival of film, music, and interactive has come and gone, and what an amazing experience it was. Debuggirl and myself had a chance to represent the film and entertainment blog HeyUGuys.co.uk during our time in Austin, contributing various film reviews and news to their site. Shout out to Dave for putting up with us!

I saw many great films in the festival, plenty of which just so happened to be documentaries. Being Elmo, Hit So Hard, Conan Can't Stop, Fightville. I also saw Jodie Foster's The Beaver, and James Wan's Insidious, which were both quite good, and Kill List which was my least favorite. Aside films, there was plenty of music, food, and booze hosted by various venues like Purevolume, Youtube, Google etc. I also had a chance to see Game Designer Richard Garriott, get his ass kicked by IBM's WATSON at the Interactive panel.

I put together a short video filmed in and around the Austin Convention, and 6th Street. Though it's not an exhaustive report on all that I did at SXSW, I think it captures just how hectic the festival was. With so much going on, there's something for everyone. I have to rank SXSW as my current #1 favorite festival/conference to attend. I love the town of Austin, and look forward to many more trips in the future to SXSW.

Chad Howse Fitness Promo S95 HVX

"Who's Howse?" Fitness web spot.

I recently completed a web spot for Chad Howse Fitness. Using the Canon S95, and Panasonic HVX, we filmed this within two days, at Swangard Stadium, and a local gym. I collaborated with composer Herman Witkam to come up with original music for the promo. He previously worked on my films Vancouver in 2010, and Astoria Boxing Club.

The piece turned out quite nicely, with post-production in After Effects.
